How this site is different

We sell nothing

Every paper roundup we could find in this category is written by someone who sells the paper. We sell no pens, no ink and no notebooks, which is why we can tell you the expensive notebook is the wrong one.

Every figure is cited

A nib width, a paper weight, a cartridge capacity — each one links to the page we read it on. Where a maker publishes nothing, the table says “not published” instead of guessing.

Prices are live, or absent

No price is typed into our copy. Figures come from a daily feed and carry the date they were checked. When the feed has nothing fresh, the button says “check price”.

Every pick names its downside

There is a “skip this if” line on every recommendation on this site. A pick with no stated downside is an advertisement.
